These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Larkling co-parenting application ("the App") and website ("the Site"), operated by Nyesha Hoppie ("Larkling", "we", "us"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
Larkling is a co-parenting tool designed to help separated parents and guardians communicate, share schedules, track expenses, and manage documents. It is not a legal service, mediation service, or substitute for professional legal advice.
The free plan includes messaging, shared calendar, up to 2 children, 1 co-parent connection, 7-day message history, and 1 AI Tone Coach check per day. Core features will remain free forever. No credit card required.
Premium includes tamper-evident PDF exports, 30 AI Tone Coach checks per day, unlimited message history, document vault, expense tracking, private journal, and receipt scanning. Available as monthly (£6.99), 6-month (£33.99), or 12-month (£55.99) subscription per family — not per parent. A 7-day money-back guarantee applies to paid Premium subscriptions.
After the trial, subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law. Contact hello@larklingapp.com within 14 days if you believe you have been charged in error.
You agree not to use Larkling to harass or threaten other users, share false or defamatory information, upload illegal content, gain unauthorised access to other users' data, use the service for commercial purposes without consent, or reverse engineer the App. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. Upon termination you may lose access to your data, though certain records may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy. You may delete your account at any time via the App settings.
Larkling generates PDF exports with SHA-256 integrity hashes and timestamps to help demonstrate content has not been altered since creation. However, we make no guarantee these exports will be accepted by any court. Admissibility varies by jurisdiction. Always obtain independent legal advice before relying on any export in family proceedings.
The AI Tone Coach is powered by Anthropic's Claude AI. Suggestions are generated automatically and may not always be appropriate for your situation. You are solely responsible for reviewing any message before sending. Larkling is not liable for AI-generated suggestions or outcomes from their use.
Your use of Larkling is governed by our Privacy Policy. When inviting co-parents or guardians, you must provide explicit consent through the in-app flow before shared family data becomes accessible to them. You acknowledge that immutable records (sent messages, exports) may not be fully revocable, that you are responsible for having legal authority to share children's data, and that in high-conflict cases you should obtain a court direction before sharing sensitive data.
All content, design, code, and branding in Larkling are owned by Larkling and protected by copyright. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the App without written permission.
Larkling is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure service at all times. Larkling is not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, or counselling advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Larkling's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Users in other jurisdictions may have additional rights under local laws.
We will notify you of material changes by email or via the App at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
